Painting the Skills!
The Indian paint industry has been witnessing a gradual shift in the preferences of people from the traditional whitewash to high-quality paints like emulsions and enamel paints, which is providing the basic stability for growth of the Indian paint industry.
Moreover, rise in disposable income of the average middle class coupled with increasing investment on education; urbanization; development of the rural market; and various launches of many innovative products, like friendly, odor-free, and dust & water-resistant paints, are major drivers that are propelling the growth of the paint market in India.
As per the report finds, decorative paints have the maximum demand. On the other hand, India has skilled manpower across the country-specific to the paint industry, whose skills are still unleashed.
We at Lok Bharti have ventured to bring the hidden talent of our people, especially women who decorate walls of their own Rural areas. In association with Paint Sector Skill Council & NSDC along with the PM’s vision of Skill India, we have endeavored into Recognition of Prior Learning for existing talent to be upskilled and formally certified across various programs as per their existing skillsets and skilling the fresh beneficiaries to make them join the economic mainstream of the industry.
