Lok Bharti at World’s Youth Skills Day

Candidates undergoing training at Lok Bharti Skilling Solutions actively participated in the first ever World Youth Skills Day held on 15th July 2015 at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest of the event and Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship the Guest of Honor.

The beaming candidates, proud to have been skilled by Lok Bharti, enthusiastically heard Prime Minister’s speech on the occasion. Highlighting the significance of quality skill training, he said that through the skill development initiatives the government is aiming to strengthen surplus manpower.

During the event, Narendra Modi unveiled the Skill India logo and launched four landmark initiatives of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship: National Skill Development Mission, National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme and the Skill Loan scheme. The Skill India logo illustrates a clenched hand in which a spanner and pencil are firmly held, exemplifying the empowerment of the individual through skilling and depicts a Sanskrit phrase ‘Skill Always Wins.’

“There is a huge gap between the skills needed by the industry and what academia is producing, deeply affecting the talent supply chain. At Lok Bharti, we are working towards bridging this gap by providing Quality Skill Training in accordance to the industry standards and requirements”, says Aloke Khanna, CEO, Lok Bharti.

Spreading the spirit of the Youth Skills Day, Lok Bharti celebrated the day in all its Skill Development Centers by organizing events like debates, rallies, trade specific competitions like Mehandi competitions and organizing camps.
